Roleplay Requirements

Custom Canine-Species; Arcanus Canum is a canine roleplay featuring a custom species created by our Founder. Thus, as you make your decision to join or not, please consider that a new character must be created using our linearts provided; one in which you will enjoy developing. 

Some exceptions to this requirement...

1. Imported character designs that fit along our criteria of realism

2. Adoptables bought from other platforms (other users, Deviantart, etc.) as long as they fit our criteria of realism

Literacy Standards; Arcanus Canum is a literate roleplay group. While a roleplay sample is required, allow me to define our groups perspective on literacy...

"Literacy is the proper usage of english mechanics such as spelling, grammar and punctuation and should be demonstrated throughout your roleplay. We expect that our members are able to give detailed posts within moderate to superb length. However, while it is understandable that we all make mistakes and at times have occasionally writer's block, leniency is always given."

Realistic Coloration; The color of pelts should remain realistic. All the specifications regarding Species Creation is detailed under our 'Species Page'.

Maturity and Diplomacy; These two requirements go hand in hand. While we have mature themes and sensitive topics that some might become offended by (such as gender roles, inappropriate language, possible gore, and more) we expect you to handle these topics with a high degree of maturity and understanding. While these are only some of the possible topics covered throughout roleplay, it would be go to ask one of the staff a list of themes mentioned within the group.

Group Features

Beautifully Plotted; Arcanus Canum is a plotted group, which hosts its own story-line in a chapter-by-chapter layout. Many large/mini events are always hosted, as well as important mini-plots are always dished out to keep plot advancement going. The plot and its chapters can be viewed in the 'Plot' page on the website.

NPC System/Role; Everything done within Arcanus Canum is inclusively driven by the members. Thus, Arcanus Canum offers an NPC system/role that allows more members to get involved in roleplay; whether it be getting mauled causing mayhem.

Unique Ranks/Hierarchy; Arcanus Canum has all the basic ranks you might see in any other canine roleplay and more. However, we are happy to offer many selective ranks that are unique to only our group. In addition, always attempt to get involved, as effort and enthusiasm is always acknowledge and awarded!

Genetics/Mutation Page; Besides character development, we are a group who loves to experiment with genetics and mutations. The possible genotypes and phenotypes are endless, thus, if you'd like to learn and play around with it--this is a great opportunity!
